2001 | Started as lab technician at the digital imaging center at Francisco Marroquín University, where I specialized in color management for art reproduction and large format digital imaging technology for cultural heritage documentation. I was in charge of photographing pre-columbian archaeological artifacts at the Popol Vuh Museum and mayan textiles at the Ixchel Mayan Textile Museum. I also tested large format scanning and printing equipment and wrote reviews for the leading websites in that time.
2005 | Coordinator at the Foundation for Latin American Anthropological Research (FLAAR), leading ethnobotany and biodiversity photography projects as well as research in 3D printing and scanning.
2007 | Production assistant for "Istmo" coffee table book showing aerial photographs from Central America. The book was commissioned by "Partner in Health" and was produced by french photographer Ange Bourda. My tasks consisted in supporting the photographer transition to medium format digital photography, digital workflow, image processing and archiving for the whole project.
2013 | Photojournalist at Siglo 21 newspaper. I worked on most of the newspaper departments, my assignments included editorial photography covering arts, travel, culture and hard news.
2024 | Freelance photographer, working on documentaries for NGOs and nature conservation organization.
